Job title: CNC Setup Person
Reports to: CNC Manager
Supervisory responsibilities: None.
Summary/objective: Specialty Tooling Systems (STS) is seeking CNC Setup persons to join their team! The CNC Setup person's job is to work with an STS Machinist in setting up jobs - including, preparing the machine for operation. When not setting up, general shop duties will be assigned.
Essential functions:
- Under the direction of a CNC Machinist, prepare the machine, and set up the jobs
- Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance
- Assist I general shop duties when no set up tasks assigned
- Keep work area clean.
- Follow all safety rules and report unsafe work conditions to management.
- Regular attendance at work during scheduled work hours.
- Employees may be requested to perform other job functions as required.
Required competency, education, and experience:
- Experience as a CNC Setup person
- Candidate must have high school or equivalent education.
- Candidate must have valid driver’s license
Work environment: Manufacturing environment
Physical demands:
Candidate must have full use of all limbs.
Candidate must be able to read and speak English.
Candidate must be able to lift 40 pounds.
Position type and expected hours of work: Full time. day shift
- Day Shift: 40-50 hours per week. 6 am - 2:30/4:30 pm
Travel: None.
